About Erosion

Erosion is one of the most powerful forces on earth, and one of the slowest. Erosion is responsible for the creation of riverbeds and canyons, caves and mesas, beaches and several formers presidents' faces.  Erosion can be caused by air, water, molten lava, mudslides, and bullets. Erosion can be classified as several types: gravity erosion, which involves the falling of material to form such structures as the magnificent cliffs of Questia in Italy, water erosion, which has formed the Grand Canyon, ice erosion, caused by glaciers, which is responsible for the formation of the great lakes and most of Canada, and wind erosion, which is currently streamlining the features of the sphinxes in Egypt.
